Day 1 Beijing We are greeted on arrival in China's capital and cultural heart, and are escorted to a fine hotel where the balance of the day is at our leisure.
Day 2 Beijing (B,L,SD)
Beijing's glorious past unfolds before us a full-day tour of its finest imperial sights. We will explore the Forbidden City, where Chinese emperors resided and ruled the country for 700 years until the year of 1911;the exquisite Temple of Heaven,a true architectural masterpiece; the maganificent Tiananmen Square,where Mao's picture hangs over the rostrum at the entrance of the imperial city;the opulent grounds of the Summer Palace and its shimmering Kunming Lake.For dinner tonight,we enjoya special banquet of delicious Peking Duck,the cuisine of the emperors.
Day 3 Beijing (B,L,D)
We have a full day excursion to the Great Wall,China's incredible 3700-miles barricade from northern invades.There is ample time to stroll along its ancient stone promende and photograph the wall as its snakes across impossibly steep mountain areas. On the way back, we stop enroute at the Moing Tombs and its eerie Sacred Way.Tonight we enjoy Peking Opera at a royal style theater after dinner.
Day 4 Beijing / Xian (B,L,D)
We fly today to Xi'an, the ancient gateway to the Silk-Road full of Chinese legendary.
Day 5 Xi'an (B,L,SD)
Xi'an's rich history comes alive on our visit to the greatest archaeological finding of the century: the army of terra cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.Other monuments on our tour incude Banpo Neolithic Village Museum,Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Drum Tower. For dinner and entertainment tonight,we enjoy a lavish banquet and cultural show at Tang Dynasty Theater.
Day 6 Xi'an / Shanghai (B,L,D)
We fly southeast today to Shanghai,a vibrant commercial hub and China's largest city.The balance of the day is to explore Shanghai's European flavor and distinctly Chinese characters by a visitor to the 500 years old Yu Yuan Garden, an artistically laid out old downtown and the bustling riverside Bund.
Day 7 Shanghai (B,L,D)
A full day tour explores Shanghai by crossing the most commercial busiest watercourse on the huge bridge with many shipyards beneath it to Shanghai's new financial district of Pudong.The tour gives a real gleam of the Shanghai harbor and incredible city lay out.Then we explore one of the best world's museum-Shanghai Museum,which unfolds before us the finest art collection.The other unforgettable are the ethereal Jade Baddha Temple and Children's Palace.Tonight we enjoy Shanghai Acrobat Shoe after dinner.
Day 8 Shanghai/Guilin (B,L,D)
We fly southeast over the verdant hills today to Guilin,a romantic scenic beauty that inspired poets and artists for centries.All the viewwings recall to us the Chinese ink and wash paintings.The balance of the day is a tour to the Elephant Trunk Hill,which is the landmark of the area,and a visit to Diecai Hill,where it gives us a bird's view over the beautiful landscapes.
Day 9 Guilin (B,L,D)
Today's deluxe cruise on the mirrored waters of the Li River will strike us with its poetic scenery of misty pinnacles,gentle green riverbanks and quiet river activities.Throughout the journey,our guide will point out landmarks and attractions.Returning ashore lead us to the fairylike Reed Flute Cave.Tonight we gather for a special dinner of fine regional specialties.
Day 10 Guilin/Guangzhou/Hong Kong (B,L)
A short flight carries us to Guangzhou,the old harbor of Canton.Here we enjoy a sightseeing city tour and a lunch at the Trade Fair Center. We continue our trip to Hong Kong by a hydrofoil for 2 hours from the harbor in Guangzhou.
